Whatever
The Oakland A’s are not having a good time in Canada. On Friday they blew a huge lead to lose to the Toronto Blue Jays. On Saturday they were down big and scored five runs in the 9th but it wasn’t enough, in another loss. They’ll look to salvage the series finale on Sunday.
On the mound is Cole Irvin. The left-hander hasn’t made it out of the 5th inning in either of his last two starts. He faced the Blue Jays back in May and tossed eight wonderful innings of one-run ball with nine strikeouts.
In the lineup, Khris Davis finally gets a start, batting seventh and playing DH. It only took five games to get him in there! Although he’s taken five at-bats off the bench in two different games in the meantime, going 2-for-5 with a double and two strikeouts. Also, outfielders Starling Marte is back after being hit in the head by a pitch Friday.
