First pitch of Game #114 is delayed for weather
The Oakland A’s and Cleveland Indians are set to play tonight at Progressive Field, but the first pitch has been delayed due to rain* for an hour.

The contest was originally scheduled to begin at 4:10 p.m. PT, but a couple hours beforehand the tarp** was rolled onto the field.

A’s manager Bob Melvin was not surprised that it was raining in Cleveland, which trails only Rochester, Buffalo, and Portland (you know which one) as the major cities where it rains most often in America according to the possibly reliable first search result on Google.
Melvin says he wouldn’t be surprised if tonight’s game is delayed with the current thunderstorm passing by: “Cleveland. Very rarely do you not get some sort of a delay here.”

The A’s found ways to utilize the extra time and stay warm.
.@Indians: The people expect a game. We give them a game. Connect 4, you first.
