MLB news roundup
The day is here, everyone. The day we all hoped would never come. The last day that our Athletics will take the field at the Oakland Coliseum before leaving town. Off to Sacramento for a few years before taking their act to Las Vegas. The last thing any of us wanted. Maybe there will be time later to write the words but not today. Today is just about saying goodbye in person, one last time.
Word’s just don’t describe the loss of your favorite team. We didn’t secure the win in last night’s middle game but the club can still send the Coliseum out with a series win with a victory today. If you are attending this afternoon’s game, first of all lucky. Second of all, please be respectful to the staff and stadium. They’ve been there for the good times and the bad and don’t deserve the rough treatment some people may feel they need to inflict. And the Coliseum itself, our church for all of our lives, doesn’t deserve to get trashed as John Fisher steals our club.
And finally, enjoy the last day of Oakland Athletics baseball everyone. It’s sad that this is happening but be glad we got to enjoy the ride while it lasted. Next year it’s just Athletics baseball.

A top prospect is done for the year:
Hearing Max Muncy has been sent home from instructs to give his hand more time to rest & heal (he won’t be appearing in the AFL this season) and that Nick Kurtz has had a bit of a setback in his rehab from his hamstring injury. Clarke, Susac & Bolte will be the A’s AFL hitters.

These guys. The grounds crew. That’s who will have to pick up the trash if you throw it on the field. Please don’t. Respect the Coliseum and the workers tomorrow. It’s gonna be an emotional day for everyone. Be patient. Be kind. See you out there. Free hugs for all. https://t.co/tzQ8nzQ0Qr
