A’s wrap up road trip in the Windy City
The Oakland Athletics wrap up a three-city road trip with the rubber match of the three-game series against the Chicago Cubs today at Wrigley Field. As the season winds down, the A’s hope to notch another road series victory against the Cubs who still hold out hope for an NL wild card berth.
Twenty-six -year-old rookie lefthander Brady Basso will make his third start of the season today. Basso is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA in 14.2 innings this season for the A’s. He’ll go up against fellow southpaw Justin Steele, who has a 5-5 record with a 3.09 ERA in twenty-two starts in 2024.
