The Athletics have lost one of the greatest leadoff hitters in MLB history with the passing of Rickey Henderson at the age of 65 years old. Henderson was a 10-time All-Star, Hall of Famer, two-time World Series Champion, three-time Silver Slugger, MVP, Gold Glove winner, and an ALCS MVP. In his career, he put up a .279 batting average, with 3055 hits, 297 home runs, 1115 RBIs, and 1406 stolen bases. In addition, he owns a career .401 OBP, 106.3 fWAR, and 111.1 bWAR. He also played for the San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Angels, and the Seattle Mariners.
